We hit the hills of Bear Lake right before sunset when the light was glowing. The snow had finally melted leaving the hills perfect to stroll on for pictures. I can’t wait for their June wedding~
I had a blast meeting these two on a hill over looking Bear Lake.
They are so in love with each other and I think you can feel it in these photos.
“From this day forward,
You shall not walk alone.
My heart shall be your shelter,
And my arms will be your home.”
Should we plan pictures around good lighting?
Good lighting is everything. If there is one thing to plan your day around, it would be that. Especially consider this when planning your wedding portraits. If you want to receive images that truly highlight how special those moments were, I strongly suggest having your ceremony during the last couple hours of light. I truly believe you will be happier with the final result.
If that’s not an option, full shade is the next best thing. If possible, have your pictures in a fully shaded area with no dappled light.
This wedding took place right before sunset. It was a beautiful calm evening and we couldn’t of had better lighting. After the ceremony, and right as the sun was dipping behind the hills, I had the wedding couple come together and snuggle in the setting light. Perfection.
This was not your traditional Utah wedding reception. But a celebration with dancing, music, delicious treats, and laughter.
Definitely a memorable evening that I was honored to photograph.
Congratulations to the love birds!
He loves her. She loves him.
